Who are we

The Cataldi’s farm is located at the slope of Climiti Mountains, a hills range of Eastern Sicily at the North-West of Syracuse. The olive tree groves is composed of about 12 hectares (30 acres) with more than 3500 plants of young olive trees from different cultivars (e.g. Nocellare of Etna, Biancolilla). The farm stands on top of the breath-taking landscape of three beautiful cities: Belvedere, Syracuse, and Floridia, where the contrast between thewhite colour of the Climiti Mountains’ limestone and the green of the olive trees creates an amazing harmony in the nature.

After the harvest, a careful selection of only finest fruits is made in order to guarantee a high-quality and low acidity of the product.

The organic olives are pressed within 12-24 hours after the harvest, at low temperatures and only by automated procedures. The organic oil is decanted and stored in steel containers maintaining a constant temperature by nitrogen in order to keep all its unique properties. The absence of any industrial process is easily recognised by the colour of oil, which represents its authenticity and genuineness.

With this in mind, the Cataldi’s extra virgin olive oil is particularly healthy for children, youngster, and pregnant women.
